A nice review and interview from GameWhims

January 23, 2026

I had the chace to talk with the website GameWhims about LAVALAMP! They also did a review of the game!

THE REVIEW
"Given how abstract LAVALAMP is, it is difficult not to analyze every detail. However, the abstraction often feels intentional without necessarily pointing toward deeper meaning. While the artwork itself is complex and layered, everything else is strikingly simple. »

THE INTERVIEW
"Many elements in LAVALAMP feel intentionally whimsical rather than symbolic. How do you personally decide when something needs meaning, and when it can simply exist?

I’d say they are both. Sometimes art takes itself too seriously. I wanted to make a game with a meaning, but also to be funny.

Elements that stayed in LAVALAMP are there because they resonate with me and create an emotional response. I don’t always know if this emotion has a name, but it has to be a feeling I feel good in. »

Feel free to contact me if you have a webpage and would like to make an article about LAVALAMP. I’d be more than happy to answer your questions!

Have a good day,

LAVALAMP now officially out!

January 19, 2026

My god, it’s been such a week for LAVALAMP that I didn’t take the time to write here and talk about it. Mainly because I didn’t think anybody would read it, but then I realised that some people do look at this webpage!

LAVALAMP is kind of going a little viral on Steam since it’s officially out! We have an average of 250 players per day, which is absolutely HUGE. The average score is now at 95%, and I’m in heaven! We are now at more than 6,500 downloads, and more than 70,000 people have added the game to their library (hopefully they’ll play it on a rainy day or something).

At first, I thought that after a week it would stop, but the algorithm seems to love that 95% score, I guess.

The reviews are really what make me the happiest these days. I refresh my browser every 10 minutes to see if a new one comes up.

Thanks to everybody who plays LAVALAMP! It makes me so happy to see that my weird little creation touches so many hearts.

Ok, this was just a quick update to acknowledge this. Now I have to go to bed.

New pages on the website!

October 9 2025

It’s so long to make a website.

Anyways. There is now a section Project on the website with links to LAVALAMP, BOREDOM and, the little unknown, La physique de Jean-Paul.

I wasn’t sure to include this last project into the Space Lemmings from Space Productions cannon, but since it’s another videogame project, I guess it is! It’s a work-in progress VR experience around my father, who happens to be schizophrenic. It’s about his life work : a scientific and mystical theory that integrates astrology and physics (this is a very short way of saying it). It’s not available for public at the moment. It’s a museum piece.

Anyways. The big plan is to put some energy on Boredom in the next few months. I’m in very early development at the moment, making very low-level stuff that is not that fun to talk about.

Have a good day,
Gabriel

Hi internet!

Sun Aug 24 2025, 7:22PM

This website is finally on. Yay! It was time since I’ve been paying for the domain and hosting fees for the last three years.

So, from now on I will keep a little blog over here. I am currently working on the sequel to LAVALAMP. Can’t talk about it too much for now.

You should totally subscribe to the mailing list! Mailing lists are gonna become cool again soon, I feel it.

But until then, you can still follow my work on instagram and YouTube. I’m planning to put videos on YouTube. I have one or two ideas.

Anyways, thank you for everything!
